Purpose/ Summary of Position
Oversee the overall quality and safety of production. Implement and monitor procedures, standards and specifications aimed at meeting company’s food quality goals.
Duties
- Organize and manage the QA department to ensure that quality of product comply with legal requirements and management objectives.
- Ensure that incoming raw materials and direct packaging materials meet the required quality standard.
- Ensure the finished products achieved the required quality standard during and after production run.
- Review quality reports and microbiological results of raw materials and finished products.
- Conduct plant inspection to ensure compliance to SOP.
- Coordinate and communicate with local authorities on compliance.
- Troubleshoot product quality issues and investigate trade complaints.
- Well-versed with HACCP, GMP and other food related regulations.
Requirements
- Educational/Professional Qualification
- Degree in Food Science/ Food Technology / Microbiology
- Working Experience
- Minimum 8 years working experience in QA, preferably from the FMCG industry
- Other Skills
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Personality / traits/ aptitude
- Analytical, well organized, good project management skill and well equipped with multi-tasking ability.
- Language proficiency (Spoken & Written)
- English
