Location : South-East Asia with working rights in nominated country

Employment : Full-time to June 2022 (possibility of extension)

Reports to : Sport for Development Director

Other Information : Regular international travel required (pending COVID restrictions)

KEY DUTIES

As the ChildFund Sport for Development (S4D) Communications and Content Manager, you will: i) build ChildFund Sport for Development’s brand and profile; ii) lead strategic engagement and messaging and; iii) manage key stakeholders effectively.  You will contribute to the S4D Leadership Team.  

Duties

  • Build Brand and Profile
  • Ensure ChildFund Sport for Development has a strong and consistent external and internal voice;
  • Utilise innovative and engaging ways to create impact with the public; 
  • Leverage partners and Ambassadors to support key messages and profile;
  • Ensure branding consistency across all activities and relationships;
  • Maximise the use of digital channels support brand and profile.
  • Lead Strategic Engagement
  • Build and execute a coherent and impactful overarching communications strategy;
  • Create and execute impactful campaigns and event-based communications strategies;
  • Ensure that all communications are ethical, informative, authentic and aligned with strategy;
  • Ensure communications strategy development supports broader organisational strategic commitments;
  • Lead the development of content to support strategy execution in a range of markets;
  • Ensure digital channels are fully leveraged to support strategy.
  • Manage Stakeholders
  • Lead engagement with public engagement functions in the Sydney Office and Country Offices;
  • Build sector relevant networks with peers;
  • Lead engagement with communications functions in partner sports organisations; 
  • Create stakeholder networks that amplify impact;
  • Lead the team’s outward facing communications with key donors and partners;
  • Build and leverage a network of writers, designers, printers and media contacts globally.

Requirements

  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Relevant graduate qualification;
  • At least 8 years relevant experience, including at least 3 in a senior role;
  • Track record of developing impactful content for on and offline public communications platforms;
  • Experience of public relations management and developing organisational spokespeople;
  • Track record of written communications engaging with a range of audiences;
  • Clear and demonstrated commitment to the realisation of children’s rights;
  • Native proficiency in written and spoken English with additional relevant languages an advantage.
  • You are expected to remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding and Sexual Exploitation, Abuse or Harassment (SEAH) risks and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with Child Safeguarding and Prevention of SEAH Policies.
